My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here, and the food was an 11 out of 10. The flavours were perfectly balanced โ truly amazing. The waiter was very friendly and gave us a great experience, which made the night even more special.
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ YOTS Greek Taverna has been our go-to restaurant in Darwin for over a decade, and it never fails to impress. My wife and I recently dined here again, and as always, everything was fantasticโfrom the warm hospitality to the incredible food and stunning waterfront views. YOTS holds a special place in our hearts, as it was the venue for our first formal date, and every visit since has been just as memorable. Evan, Anna and all the staff go above and beyond to ensure every guest is looked after, making you feel like part of the family. The quality of the food, the friendly service, and the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere make this a must-visit spot in Cullen Bay when visiting Darwin. If you're after authentic Greek cuisine with exceptional service, look no further. Highly recommended!
Had a fantastic experience at Yots. We had booked a table of 7 fairly late, for 8pm, and told them about an hour out that we were running 20 minutes late. They told us on the phone that this was absolutely no problem at all, and that they would remain open for us until we'd eaten. We ordered our starters over the phone when we were about 15 minutes away and were greeted with a waterside table ready to go and our starters arrived as soon as we'd sat down. Portion sizes were very generous and the food itself was delicious. The staff were extremely enthusiastic and helpful in picking out wines and food from the menu. Definitely coming back!
My birthday dinner turned into a disappointing experience. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with 17 of my friends. I made the reservation in person, confirmed it again via email and voice call, and everything seemed in order. However, at the end of the evening, the owner approached me directly at the register and asked if I wasnโt going to pay the entire bill. I explained that each guest would pay for what they ordered โ their own food and drinks โ and when I paid for my own meal and drinks, I was informed there was a $30 fee for bringing my own birthday cake. I said I would pay it, but also asked why wasnโt I informed earlier? She replied that it was normal and that all restaurants charge this fee. What she didnโt know is that I have 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and Iโve never seen anything like this in my life. Nobody mentioned this fee during the in-person booking, email confirmation, or phone call. As the situation unfolded, all my guests stood up and came to the register to pay, forming a line. After the first guest paid, she turned to me and asked, โIf someone doesnโt pay, will you cover it?โ I looked at her โ still in disbelief about what was happening โ and said, โDonโt worry, nothing will be missing.โ Thank you, Ana, for giving me the worst customer service experience Iโve had in my 38 years. On a positive note, I want to sincerely thank the chefs the food was truly delicious, and many of my guests complimented the flavors and presentation. Unfortunately, great food alone doesnโt make up for how poorly we were treated.
Visited for dinner at sunset and the atmosphere and waterfront views made it an unforgettable experience! Incredible food, highly recommend the chilli prawns, octopus, and saganaki. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if youโre in Darwin.
