Yappari Steak serves amazing steak at a great price! I especially love their cheeky oyster blade — super juicy and tender, easily one of the most affordable yet satisfying steaks in Melbourne. It’s become my go-to post-gym meal spot. I enjoy coming on weekday nights for a quiet dinner with beautiful views. I really like the self-cook concept and the variety of sauces available. The only thing I’d suggest is providing a short guide or demo on how to cook it perfectly for first-timers. Big kudos to the Japanese manager — I see him often, and he’s always so friendly and helpful every time I visit.

Disappointed with this new branch. The meat was likely not fully thawed—water pooled on the plate, not oil. Felt more like hotpot than grilled BBQ. Service was lacking too: no napkins on the table, had to get them myself. Staff said “manager’s not here” when I raised concerns, but didn’t offer a solution. I usually enjoy this brand at the other location nearby, where service is much better. Hopefully just early-stage issues. I’ll give it one more try. So watery meat

First time having Yappari and honestly it did not fail my expectations,the meat was nice and tender The curry rice was quite bland honestly so if u want to,u can miss it out. But the Momo Wagyu and the Oyster Blade was legit good. The range of sauces:Get the Japanese BBQ and thank me later Service was also pretty good and the staff were attentive Would reccomend!

Wow lads! I have walked past this place many times and said I must try this one day. And I am glad I did, because the service & food was fantastic! Staff have a great sense of humour! There is downstairs and upstairs seating, so plenty of room. I shared the tripe beef platter (3 steak combo) between 3 adults, came with chips, squid rings, chicken wings and salad. I ordered an extra 300grm wagyu just incase lol. Steaks are brought out on hot plates siered on both sides only, so you just finish them to your requirement. A few sauces to choose from, just help yourself. They have a pretty decent selection of dishes. Steaks range from 100gm up to 700gm steaks priced start from $13 up to $70. I recommend this place! Great bang for your buck if you're in the city & on a budget. Gotta be great value to feed 3 adults for a little over a $100!

Authentic Japanese steak house. Absolutely delighted to have tried the 3 steak platter, the hot plate cooked the steak to perfection, and kept the steak warm whilst we ate. The curry was delicious as was their Steak & Udon & hot green tea special. Ordering was easy via the QR code on the table and there were plenty of BBQ sauces available via self serve. I really liked the bibs they offer to protect your clothes from the sizzling steak. Will definitely return to try all the other dishes.
