During a recent visit to Perth, each time I walked past Tosaka, there was usually a queue waiting to enter. So when I walked past one Monday night and saw there was no wait, I jumped at the chance to try their ramen. The chicken broth is sublime, flavoursome and not oily. The chicken and char siu were delicious and accompanied the noodles and soup well. The staff were friendly and hospitable reflecting the omotenashi for which Japan is famous. To avoid a long wait, try getting there on a Monday night or after 8pm. Itโs the next best thing to eating ramen in Japan.
good paitan ramen with milky broth and perfectly cooked chicken slices. pity that the noodles soaked up the noodles too much or else it would be worth 5 stars! the thick chashu is also worth the add on. I recommend trying the normal chicken broth for first timer and the other flavours next time for richer tastes.
We ate here as vegan / vegetarians (as they have a vegan version of the broth) and WOWโฆ. Honestly the flavours were amazing - we got the chilli veggie and the black garlic veggie (both were insane). I would highly recommend to someone looking for some authentic, veggie friendly, Asian food in Northbridge.
We had the garlic pork and chicken paitan ramen and they were delicious and very filling. The condiments also adds much taste to the dishes and the soup was simply divine. The only issue with the restaurant is the queue, we waited for an hour, so no I will not go there again for that one reason. But if you are a patient person then please visit and you wonโt regret it.
The broth was tasty and full of flavour, though a bit on the salty side. The chicken gyoza was a safe pick and pretty decent, but I did notice other tables getting the chicken karaage, which looked crispy. Overall, itโs a cosy, comforting bowl of ramenโjust what youโd want on a cold rainy winter night
