Thank you for the warm and attentive service. The experience and atmosphere was great, but the food didn't quite meet our expectations for a $150pp omakase course. Most dishes were enjoyable, but they were not distinctive compared to other japanese restaurants that offer similar or better at more affordable price. We were hoping for something more refined and fine-dining in quality, but overall the meal felt average in terms of the flavour and quality. The wagyu and uni nigiri had an unpleasant aftertaste from both the beef and the uni, and some dishes like the cheese marinated with miso and the sukiyaki spring roll which was mostly filled with glass noodle felt out of place in a omakase menu.
Came here with my friend. Left feeling full, satisfied, and happy after having a wide range of delicious dishes! The staff were friendly and kind and the atmosphere was comfy and sophisticated. Will definitely recommend coming here and I would love to come again!
My wife and I had a special dinner here and were not disappointed. It was just a small room - intimate. There was another couple dining as well, but we felt the sound treatments still helped with privacy. I also noted the room was well insulated from the noise of the bar and street life outside. Stepping outside made you understand how well the outside world was excluded. We loved the food which was well paced. The care that was taken to procure the ingredients (some fish and scallops from Japan) made it seem very special. Standouts were the sashimi and the Wagyu. I think they did well to clarify and accommodate to some dietary requests ahead of time by email. We felt we had privacy, but if we wanted to engage with the chef he was proud to explain the ingredients or techniques. I think I'll make a point of returning as I feel these small places need to be supported. That, and I feel it's a very good meal!
Omakase, $150pp Tora Sushi is only 10/12 seats, but it private, intimate and welcoming. The food exceeded expectations. The set menu kept delivering with oysters, ceviche, chawanmushi and wagyu beef. I was so full come the end of the Sushi is was struggling!
This is the kind of omakase restaurant Iโd love to keep to myself, but I genuinely hope it continues to thrive โ so hereโs my heartfelt review. The service was warm and thoughtful, and every single dish was crafted with the chefโs precision and delicate touch, which left me deeply moved. The balance of flavors, the aroma, and the harmony of the garnishes created a truly unforgettable experience. The quality of the sushi was exceptional โ something rarely found in Perth. Among all the Japanese restaurants Iโve visited, I can confidently say this is the No.1 omakase in Perth. The pairing with sake was also spot on โ elevating each dish beautifully. I will definitely be back. Thank you for making a special day truly unforgettable.
