Absolutely phenomenal. We had heard some fantastic reviews of Ton Khao and knew we had to go when we only had the one night in Mooloolaba. Given it was such a short trip, we had to choose wisely…. And we did! We couldn’t make a booking as it was a last minute trip so we were a walk in. It was completely booked, however they were able to make room for us after a short wait. The beer is ice cold (we ordered a couple of Singha beers) and the food was delivered very quickly. I was surprised by the short wait given that it was so busy. The staff were absolutely phenomenal. Incredibly polite and attentive and always made sure we were being looked after. Now, for the food! We absolutely love Thailand and have travelled extensively around it. This was honestly the closest to authentic, traditional Thai that we’ve had in Queensland. We are from Melbourne, so we are generally spoilt for choice. The Pad See Ew was one of the best I’ve had, in conjunction with the Red duck curry and the crispy pork with basil and chilli (my go to Thai dish). And yes, you read that correctly… it was so fantastic that we ordered 3 mains for 2 people and we were able to get through all of it! We barely spoke at dinner because we couldn’t stop eating. What a fantastic and beautiful atmosphere the team have created. Family friendly, a beautiful date night, or a dinner with friends. If you’re looking for a vibrant restaurant with the full experience at a reasonable price, look no further!!!

Food and staff were amazing felt a bit peckish after afternoon tea and went and had dinner here. Seafood was fresh and flavoursome all the food was hitting the notes of authentic Thai food and drinks from bar were tasty and refreshing. 🥰🥰🥰

We were incredibly lucky to be able to get a bar seat on New Year’s Day & it truly set the bar high for the rest of the year. It’s very unassuming but the food is outstanding. We got the roast duck which was spiced very well & the beef massaman was outstanding. The beef melted in your mouth as it entered! The money bags and the satays were amazing too! Make sure you reserve before you go just in case on holidays! Truly was one of our favorite meals during our 1 month holiday in Australia!

The flavors here are amazing. The lamb chops were delicious and the bbq chicken was excellent. We also ordered the Morton bay bugs with the yellow curry; it was the best I have ever had. That’s why this restaurant is in the top 1% worldwide!

Dropped in here for an early dinner at 5.00 pm and were lucky enough to get a table as the restaurant was fully booked out. And lucky we were. The service and staff were all Thai and professional, friendly and welcoming. The food was awesome. This is definitely worth checking out and bookings are highly recommended. The 2 of us shared 2 starters and a main with rice which was perfect. Will certainly be going back. Wrll done Team Ton Khao.
