Tikka Talkies is an authentic Indian restaurant that delivers a wonderful three-course dining experience from start to finish. The chilli chicken sizzler and paneer tikka sizzler were perfectly cooked, bursting with smoky flavors and served sizzling hot. The mains, rich dal makhani and flavorful palak paneer paired beautifully with soft naan and rotis, while the mango lassi was refreshing and well balanced. The pista kulfi with a hot brownie was an indulgent and memorable finale. The service was exceptional, with warm, attentive, and courteous staff who made the experience even better. We will definitely visit again, Tikka Talkies is truly a must-go place.
# A Hidden Treasure Worth Discovering This unassuming Indian eatery is quietly serving the most authentic Indian food in Perthโat prices that seem almost apologetic. Itโs the rare place where you donโt have to choose between quality and affordability. The butter chicken is revelatory: tender chunks in a silky, perfectly spiced gravy. The naan arrives steaming and pillowy, charred just right. The biryani shows precision in every layer, each grain of basmati separate and fragrant. The dal makhani tastes like itโs been simmering for hoursโbecause it probably has. This is cooking with soul, not shortcuts. The prices are genuinely shocking. A feast that would cost $80-100 elsewhere rings up at barely half that. Itโs value that makes you wonder how they stay in businessโwhich, sadly, seems to be the problem. Perth needs to wake up to whatโs right under its nose. This isnโt just good Indian food for the priceโthis is exceptional Indian food, period. In a dining scene dominated by flashy fitouts and Instagram appeal, hereโs a restaurant that lets its food do all the talking. Go now, eat generously, and tell everyone you know. Places this genuine deserve our support.
We had an absolutely delightful experience at Tikka Talkies. The Dal Makhani and Dal Tadka were rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The samosas and onion bhaji were crispy and delicious. Everything was clearly freshly made. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the restaurant was just lovely. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, heartwarming Indian food!
OMG What a find!! The best Mango Lassi I have had since I was in Goa so many years ago. I could have drank 3 but I saved myself for the Saffron Rice and Butter chicken special which was such amazing value at 9.95! We ordered garlic naan and a Vegemite and Cheese naan for my son - which he gobbled up without taking a breath. The Goat curry was sensational and my husband ate it up wishing we got more naan. This was our first time but it will not be our last as this was SOOOOO GOOD!! The staff were helpful and highlighted treats for us to try. Seriously that NAAN and mango lassi have my son still raving.
Recently, I had the pleasure of finding this wonderful restaurant. I had their Amritsari Chloe Kulche and it was absolutely delicious!! The Kulche was soo soft and flavourful with delicious chole. The meal was perfectly balanced with some yogurt and salad. After the Kulche, I had the Seeti Wala Kukad (home style chicken curry) with garlic Naan. The curry was perfectly balanced, flavourful and it was just a hug on a plate. The hospitality was on point! Though, I have never been to North India but the moment I had the first bite of the Kulche with chole and garlic Naan with chicken curry, I felt like I was sitting with a family in North India and eating their home cooked meal. The food is worth more than the price and It's worth a visit! Highly recommended.
