This place is incredible. The coffee has an amazing umami quality that pairs perfectly with their desserts. The cakes and cream puffs are top-tier. I especially loved the Colombia Geisha; itโ€™s a must-try if itโ€™s available. Pro tip: Ask for the baristaโ€™s recommendation! I wish I had discovered this gem earlier in my trip. Iโ€™ll definitely be back as soon as possible.

Remarkably well-crafted cakes and drinks. The cherries in the Dark Forest were firm and juicy, the cream rich and smooth, the chocolate just sweet enough - and the whole cake was just beautiful to look at. The Coffee Fizz Sour was a variation on the increasingly popular summery espresso-tonic, here as a surprisingly well-balanced blend of a cold brew with berry-flavoured fizz. Friendly attention to detail everywhere! Yum!

The pastries were so lovely and fresh, and the place itself is such a nice cosy vibe! Ordered the macadamia financier and a yuzu madeleine. Both were so nice. The jam inside the madeleine was a nice surprise too!

Visited today and the people working there were incredibly kind. Walked in at a quiet moment and next thing you know the place was packed out about half an hour before their 4pm closing time. It seemed like most of the customers were regulars as they were warmly conversing with the staff - always a good sign! Had a canele, madeleine, banoffee tart and pecan cookie, and everything was great but the pecan cookie was an absolute standout for me and is one of the best cookies Iโ€™ve had (and Iโ€™ve had a few including Sydneyโ€™s Butterboy and New Yorkโ€™s Levain). Also had their specialty tangerine latte and matcha and they were both good. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be coming back for the coffee and treats. Itโ€™s unfortunate that it took us this long to find The Flour but have no doubt that it will be one of our regular spots. Thank you to the team for being so warm and serving up amazing food and drinks! Edit: went back today and had a vanilla almond financier and blood orange tart and both were incredible. IMO The flour is criminally underrated and is definitely in the running for Melbourneโ€™s best bakery.

Amazing speciality bakery featuring Financier, Madeleine, cakes, biscuits and tarts. The coffee was great and the team were all very friendly and knew the locals well. Tried a few items and was very impressed as it was worth the small wait. The small cafe had indoor and outdoor seating along with a communal table. Definitely visit if you are in the area.
