About

We’ve been coming to Suzuya for years, and it’s one of those rare spots that never misses a beat. Consistently high-quality food, attentive service, and a menu that just keeps delivering. The Agedashi Tofu is easily one of the best we’ve had anywhere—crispy, light, and packed with flavour. Their sushi rolls are a standout too, with perfectly seasoned rice and fantastic balance in every bite. The sashimi was exceptional, so fresh that you could tell the chef personally selected the fish with ca

Absolutely amazing service and food! Highly recommend. Very affordable, well priced and great quality especially compared to zen zen sushi nearby. Had a lovely time and will definitely go back.

The sashimi was exceptional, so fresh that you could tell the chef personally selected the fish with care. The true highlight for us, though, is the katsu (and the katsu curry if you’re here for lunch). Our group agreed it’s the gold standard in town—nothing else comes close. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and the portion size is generous enough to share (though you won’t want to!). Other dishes like the chicken balls were tasty and generously portioned, though for us, they didn’t outshine the stars of the menu. On the drinks side, we sampled a few sakes—Dassai 45 (served cold) was smooth, subtle, and a clear winner. The Niigata Rice Field (served hot) wasn’t to our taste—powerful, punchy, and jokingly, tasted a bit like jet fuel, something that could fuel a flight to Japan easily. What makes Suzuya unbeatable is the value—the portion sizes, quality of ingredients, and overall dining experience are second to none. Absolute favourite, highly recommended. Keep up the fantastic work, Team Suzuya—we’ll be back again and again.

Great vibes, Authentic Japanese The sushi and tempura were amazing. Great sides, always get the set menu, it’ll never disappoint. Hoping they add tonkotsu ramen one day. Portions were huge, especially the katsudon.

The Mog Champ sends his regards. Suzuya was recommended by a friend. Waited shortly for the restaurant to open at 6pm and was advised to dine until 7:30pm due to reservations so it must be quite popular! We got the dinner course between the three of us. We were provided a complimentary dish, which I believe it was shirataki noodles. Having sashimi for all of us as an entree was deifnitely worth it especially for the generous portions provided, the cuts were clean and fatty. Afterwards came the agedashi tofu. We had shared three different seconds, tsukune, karaage chicken and kakuni which was my favourite of the bunch. You can't get kakuni from the main menu! For mains, teriyaki fish/beef and chicken katsu. Once again very generous portion for the price we paid so it was certainly a high-value dinner! It comes with rice too however two of us decided not to ask for it. Service is amazing and the restaurant is clean. Dinner was excellent and I'd come here again for the valuable set menu. Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ
