I experienced an exceptionally high-level dining experience in Australia. Each dish carried a direct sense of Korean flavor, paired with inventive and unexpected components that created a distinctly unique sense of fun. As I tasted each course, I could feel the chef’s background, training, and the diverse experiences that shaped their craft. Despite the potentially complex nature of the combinations, everything came together with remarkable harmony and refinement. The front-of-house team’s friendly service softened what could have been a heavy fine-dining atmosphere, allowing me to relax completely and focus on the food. Special thanks to Yuri. My gratitude goes to the entire suum team for creating a moment that felt as if I had stepped into another world. At this price point and with this level of quality, it’s a place I would love to revisit whenever the menu changes.

Absolutely fantastic evening dining at Suum - big thank you to chef Andy and his team for a delicious and elevated korean dining experience. Each course brought familiar flavours in new and intricate ways - quite a well thought out menu that you can tell the Chef has put his heart and soul into creating. Needless to say that my friends and I left content and satisified - and also very full. The restaurant's decor and vibe also added to the experience - overall a wonderful evening and I look forward to dining again as the menu changes with the seasons.

This Korean contemporary restaurant delivers an incredible balance between traditional flavors and modern creativity. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of depth — you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the precision in every bite. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Each course felt thoughtfully curated, from the starters to the desserts, and the pacing of the meal was perfect. Food - interesting, different, delicious Service - all staff were super friendly and accommodating. Even the chef had a chat with us throughout the night. Atmosphere - loved the dark decor which made it intimate and an overall great experience. Highly recommend trying this place out. Majority of ceramic bowls and plates are made by the chef. Also suggest ordering the home made rice wine during mains. Has a great nutty and banana flavour - also has about 30% of alcohol content. Avg spend per person was about $250. Sliding door is across the Asian supermarket. Overall great experience and will definitely be back in Dec for the next seasonal menu. Thank you

Behind its almost secret door, the restaurant opens into an intimate, calming space. From the moment we were greeted and seated, the service flowed as smoothly as a gentle breeze. Every staff member was wonderful, but a special mention goes to Yeri — attentive, thoughtful, conversational, and even generous enough to share a K-drama recommendation to carry home with us. The set menu is as changeable and revitalising as shifting winds — refreshed nightly. Normally, a set menu has its peaks and valleys: a standout dish, a few fillers, maybe one you could skip. But here? Every course was flawless. Each dish arrived like a new breath, perfectly plated with its own stunning bowls and utensils, each portion harmonising beautifully with the next. It was one of those rare dining experiences where you don’t just eat — you inhale, savour, and exhale in delight with every bite. If you want to truly, deeply breathe — in flavour, in hospitality, in atmosphere — then, just as its name suggests, you must visit Suum. You’ll love the food, you’ll love the service, and you’ll love the atmosphere. Quite simply, Suum is sensational.
