Had a celebration dinner here and the service was absolutely top-notch. Attention to detail was spot on, they even brought me a chair for my bag, which I really appreciated. Loved the steak, and although I didn’t drink much, the cocktail I had was great as well. Would definitely return.

Being recognised as one of the best steak restaurants in the world, I was amazed by the quality and service. The Wagyu was immaculate and the marbling on the steak. I loved the experience of being able to view the different cuts of steak before deciding which one we wanted. • In my opinion you could probably skip on the entrees as I felt it was a tad on the fishy side but the concept was quite innovative with the grapefruit and kingfish. The food was truly impressive — the wagyu steak was delicious and cooked beautifully. It’s definitely worth trying if you’re a steak lover. The only downside was the service. The staff spoke quite loudly while chatting with each other, and the attitude wasn’t as warm or attentive as I expected. It didn’t ruin the experience, but there’s room for improvement. Overall, great food with a slightly less polished service. I’d still come back for the steak!

Superb venue for the non-vegan. Amazing selection of wagyu and more at this new favourite of ours in Melbourne. The restaurant is very well appointed, comfortable and the staff are very attentive and excellent. We could not fault our table service, and the sommelier was also very good. You can choose your protein from the table side cart, which adds some theatre to the dining experience. As you would expect wagyu focussed menu, and this is what you would, and should venture here for. We shared some entrees, and the tartare was excellent, as were the oysters. For the main we selected a 900 gram Stoney Axe full blood wagyu T-bone, to share, cooked medium to rare with sides and some sauces and wagyu butter, and mustards and horseradish. Cooked to perfection, and was a great cut. A very good wine list, including an amazing selection by the glass, and cocktails. We will return and would highly recommend Steer.

Came here for my birthday with some girlfriends. Service here was 10/10 ⭐️ the vibe of the restaurant was moody and romantic. The food and cocktails were delish. Wish the steak we got was a little bit more melt in my mouth, but still delicious. Complimentary appetisers and singing happy birthday was really sweet. Would definitely recommend here for a date night or special occasion.
