The mixed tradicional Souvlakia was amazing and quickly with really nice price. Eating here after or before the party, it is a really good option.
Absolutely Terrible Experience โ Never Again! I rarely write reviews, but this place honestly deserves one for how bad it was. The customer service was a complete joke โ the woman at the counter was unbelievably rude, acting like serving customers was a burden. To make things worse, the owner was literally arguing in the shop while customers were standing there. Super unprofessional and uncomfortable. I ordered a chicken and salad meal with extra meat, paid extra for it โ and what I got was a tiny portion that looked like a regular order cut in half. It was so stingy it was almost laughable. I thought maybe I was overreacting, so I ordered the same thing from one of their other branches in Thornbury on my way home where I go all the time (without paying for extra meat) and the portion was way bigger! See photos for reference โ especially the amount of feta they put on the salad and the presentation. You can clearly see the difference. I honestly donโt know how much money they think theyโre saving by serving such low quantities and arguing with their customers instead of just doing their job properly. Save your money and go to their other branches or literally anywhere else. This oneโs a total rip-off โ rude staff, owner arguing, and pathetic serving sizes. Never again.
As a Greek, lacks authentic greek flavouring. The sauce options of sweet chilli and barbecue is bizarre. Appreciate their opening hours. The staff demeanor is assertive however has made mistakes with our orders on several occasions. The atmosphere is late night generic pumping pop music. Again, not really a Greek vibe but perhaps fits the area and clientele late at night. Still a regular late night feed for us, but wouldn't say it's anything special. If you want better Greek food it's best to explore other options.
Gourmet souvlaki is well balanced with tzatziki, fried zucchini, grilled saganaki, black olives and oregano in a fluffy pita. Pretty good value for $13.
ORDERED: ๐ฏ Mixed gyros meals: Mixed meat with salad, crispy chips, and a home made dip, served with warm pita bread ($22.00) ๐ฅฏ Pita bread ($3.00) ๐ฅฃ Tzatziki party dip ($16.00) It was $27.09 for my portion here. REVIEW: ๐ฃ๏ธ What Souvlaki GR Fitzroy should tell you is that the homemade dip choices for the gyros meal is either tarama/tzatziki. I have no problem with either, but if you were looking for other options... you may need to buy it! ๐ On the scale to lean to fatty, the lamb leaned on the leaner side. Perfect for all those slightly health-conscious people, who are still going to a souvlaki joint. The pack itself is a great selection. It gave me all the variety I would want in a meal (chips, dip, pita, protein & salad) in one neat option. ๐ There's not many people dining in so there's no issue with space. We easily sat our party of 4. Sadly, they don't offer tap water. ๐ฅฒ The interior is the standout, with blue seats and white walls a stark reminder to the key colour scheme of santorini. Apart from that, it's just an easy joint to get dinner.
