Dining at Secrets on the Lake was a memorable experience, combining tranquil rainforest views with beautiful, unique gardens and treehouses, alongside well-executed, comforting food. We were also given a treehouse tour by the owner, which added a special and personal touch to the visit. The lamb shank was a highlight—tender, flavourful, and slow-cooked to perfection. The Wagyu beef burger was juicy and well-seasoned. The baked Brie was warm, creamy, and indulgent, with just the right touch of sweetness, while the strawberry smoothie was refreshing without being overly sweet. Overall, Secrets on the Lake delivers quality food in a peaceful, scenic setting—ideal for a relaxed lunch or a special occasion in Montville.

Had an amazing time dining at Secrets on the Lake. It has an incredible outlook over the dam and is nestled amongst the trees and wildlife. Beautiful natural timber is featured throughout the dining deck/restaurant which really makes you feel wrapped in nature. The food was really delicious and you could really see the attention to detail in flavour and ingredient pairings. The service was exceptional and staff really went above and beyond to make you feel valued during the dining experience.

What an incredible dining experience! The lake views are absolutely stunning — the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. But the real highlight was the food. The baked snapper was simply outstanding — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef! I’m already planning to rent a place nearby just so I can come back and try more dishes from their menu. Highly recommended!

Absolute beyond 5 star service from here! I surprised my best friend with a 30th birthday weekend getaway, which included a high tea at secrets on the lake. We arrived with a highly warm welcome, even offered blankets if we wanted them as it was a brisk morning. The high tea was brought out and the lady serving us even offered to take a picture of us (and took a few just for good measure!). It was so delicious and filling. Then she knew it was a surprise and (while giving us a takeaway container since we were so full and couldn't finish the high tea) mouthed to me "cake?" as I had a surprise cake being brought out, which was gorgeous and brought out with candles just for my friend to make a wish, her to get more piccies of us (absolutely lovely she was, honestly), she went and boxed up the cake for us to take home as well. She'd purely brought it out like that just for the moment. 🥹 We both walked away and raved the whole day about the customer service here. We will definitely be back in the future! 🥰

The restaurant has an amazing view over a massive lake but there is a special atmosphere there that is far more than just great views. Probably one of our favourite restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. Food is always excellent and service is very welcoming. You will definitely need to book ahead.
