As a seafood lover, I finally got to try the long-awaited Tentacles Affair. I think the ingredient combination is very nice. I especially like the vegetables in it, which remind me of a dish I had when I was a child. Although I don't have an Italian background, the taste makes me very comfortable. The staff here are super friendlyโบ๏ธ Btw, I have a suggestion: when you(chef) pack the sandwich, you could leave the side with the octopus exposed. You know, in this social media era, advantages and selling points need to be seen at a glance ๐
Visited for lunch and had the following from the menu: - Tentacles affair panini: the house made bread was not that crispy but has a nice soft chewy texture and the octopus was very tender. The combination of black garlic mayo and smoked scamorza was rich and savoury. Would be nice if there was a bit more octopus - Fish stew: the fregola pasta was interesting with a smooth and chewy texture similar to tapioca pearls but not as springy. It has a generous amount of calamari, mussels and prawns which were fresh and the broth has a rich depth of flavour from the tomato and seafood bisque; not too tangy - Crumbed fish and chips: the crumbed fish was pretty good; it was crispy and the fish has a nice natural sweetness but portion could be better as it felt like a third of the fish was the crumbed batter. The skin-on rustic potato chips were very tasty; inside was soft and the outer layer was slightly crispy with a nice chew to it; paired well with the creamy house sauce. It also came with a standard mix leaves salad with cherry tomatoes - Crab cake: it has the same crumbed batter as the fish and the filling was mostly mash potato with a hint of sweet crab flavour. It was topped with an intense bisque mayo and creamy coleslaw Overall it was a pretty tasty meal and they also have a small selection of Italian drinks from the fridge to pair with the food. Highlight was the octopus panini, the fish stew and the chips. Wouldn't recommend the crab cake if you expect it to be filled with mostly crab meat.
A hidden gem near Prahran Market! The signature octopus panini is a must-tryโstuffed with grilled sauerkraut and loads of cheese. The fried fish and seafood platter are perfectly crispy, and the limited octopus hotdog was delightful. Even the drinks are imported from Italy! A satisfying meal; canโt wait to try more panini flavours. Highly recommend!
Came here for dinner and tried a few dishes. The octopus sandwich was delicious โ nicely grilled with a tasty sauce. The Peppa Prawn pasta was rich and full of flavor. Also enjoyed the grilled fish of the day, which was cooked perfectly. Service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed. Would come back to try more from the menu!
I absolutely love this place!! The vibe and the food are both amazing. They use super fresh ingredients, you can literally taste the quality! My favorite is the Octopus Panini, it looks stunning and tastes incredibly fresh. CRUMBED FISH & CHIPS changes depending on the catch of the day, and the fish is always tender and flavorful. The SWORDFISH PARMA is loaded with cheese and gives you that perfect cheese pull! The owner is super friendly and chatty. Iโd definitely come back again! ๐
