What began as a surprise date night turned into discovering my new favourite cuisine and restaurant. I didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded every expectation from the incredible flavours to the outstanding quality of every dish. The set menu was perfectly curated, allowing us to experience a little of everything. I’ll genuinely be dreaming about this place.We were also looked after by the most wonderful waiter, Ciara, who made us feel so welcomed with her bubbly personality. Exceptional food, impeccable service, and easy to locate, truly doesn’t get better than this. I’ll be recommending it to everyone. A TRUE MELBOURNE GEM⭐️⭐️

Skewers are good! Juicy and flavourful Cassava bread was warm and quite good too Braised lamb shoulder did not live up to expectations. It was quite gamey and, although it was soft and tender, was similar in taste to any braised beef at Chinese places. Ceviche was interesting but tasted kind of like deconstructed ketchup? 🧐

Absolutely loved the Spanner Crab and Lobster Tostadas and Kingfish Ceviche (TIRADITO DE CORVINA). The beef hearts condiments combination was great but the hearts were too raw and trust me i am used to underdone livers and hearts, but these had hardly seen the heat, so thats one small feedback. This place will surely be on my must visit when i visit Melbourne. Good food and attentive service!

Faultless food and service, thoroughly recommended. Groups of 8 or more have the $95 set menu which is varied and delicious. There is more than enough food and you are able to takeaway if you feel inclined which we did. Highlights were the ceviche and of course the steak and chicken. Fin was excellent, explaining each dish and really making us feel welcome. Will be back for the $45 express lunch menu!!!! Gracias Pastuso 💜

We’ve never had Peruvian food before but this was an unforgettable experience at Pastuso. Special thank you to Fin for taking such great care of us. You were knowledgeable, passionate and attentive and we hope your food and bar dreams come true. Everything was so vibrant, fresh and tied together so wonderfully. The dessert wasn’t too sweet and the meringue on top was chewy and delicious and finished off the meal perfectly. Our booth seats were intimate and offered good proximity for group conversation and the mood lighting was cherry on top. Everything we ate we loved and even went as far as to scrape the sauces and purées clean. This was the sort of meal where you had to sit for a bit to process how good it was before getting up to go. We cannot wait to come back!
