Went to Oya's Restaurant few weeks back. Food was fresh and appetising. Great service and spacious place.

We’ve been in Bendigo for three years now, and this is still one of our favourite places to eat and to take family and friends when they visit. While it is on the pricier side, the quality of the food is absolutely top-notch. We almost always order the mixed grill platter or the grill feast for two — the meat and bread are consistently fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked every single time. We genuinely love eating here and would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bendigo.

Oya’s Turkish Kitchen is absolutely amazing! We ordered the mixed grill and İskender, and honestly, both dishes were on another level. The mixed grill was packed with flavour — perfectly seasoned, tender meats, and generous portions. The İskender was rich, buttery, and tasted exactly like something you’d get in Türkiye. The sauce, the yoghurt, the bread… everything was spot on. The food feels genuinely homemade, and you can tell Oya puts her heart into every plate. She even surprised us with extra touches, making the whole experience feel personal and warm. If you love authentic Turkish cooking or want to try the real thing, Oya’s is the place. Delicious food, lovely service, and proper Turkish hospitality. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Oya’s Turkish Kitchen is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm welcome and homely atmosphere make you feel like you’ve stepped right into a traditional Turkish household. The service is friendly, genuine and full of heart. Their food is simply incredible. The lentil soup was the perfect start—rich, comforting, and full of authentic flavour, just like the ones you’d find in Turkey. The İskender was the star of the night: tender meat layered over soft bread and topped with the perfect balance of tomato sauce and yogurt. And the grilled tender skewer meat was unbelievably juicy and full of smoky flavour — cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. To finish off, the Turkish tea and desserts are a must-try, especially if you want that true Turkish experience. Oya’s Turkish Kitchen isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a warm, authentic cultural experience. Highly recommended — can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely blown away by Oya's Turkish Kitchen! We started with the Sarma Dolma, and wow, those four pieces of grape leaves, hand-wrapped with a mild herbed rice mixture and drizzled with garlic yoghurt, were absolutely amazing – a perfect start to our meal. My husband then had the Iskender with the toasted Turkish bread, and it was a masterpiece. The thinly sliced doner meat, rich homemade tomato sauce, and creamy yoghurt dressing combined with the perfect crunch of the bread was pure bliss. He kept raving about every single bite! I went for the Mixed Grill, and it was an absolute feast fit for royalty. Each component was cooked to perfection – the tender lamb shish, juicy chicken shish, perfectly grilled lamb cutlet, flavourful kofte, and both the rotisserie lamb and chicken were incredibly succulent. The crispy salad, fluffy rice, warm Turkish pita bread, and delicious dip rounded out an unforgettable meal. And for dessert, we tried the in-dining baklava with Nutella it was so unbelievably good, perfectly sweet without being overpowering, that we just had to leave with four more to take home, thanks to the lovely lady in the kitchen! Everything tasted so fresh and authentic. We left feeling incredibly satisfied and already planning our next visit to Oya's Turkish Kitchen in Bendigo! A definite 5 stars you have to try this place!
