Loved the ambience! We chanced upon it on a walk. Mistook it for another establishment but was happy we did. We were glad they accommodated us despite the dinner rush. They were attentive and the octopus entrรฉe was the star- so much depth in flavours and the octopus tasted fresh.
The staff here are very proud of their establishment & so they should be. The service was excellent & even though we were the last table standing we didn't feel pressured to move on. The food is high quality produce for sharing. The artichokes were a stand out in the smaller shares. The pasta & the lamb cutlets were very good in the larger shares. It's Sydney prices, but we felt it was good value.
Such a cute and romantic spot, with a real Italian breeze to it. The menu is great quality, and having a Crodino honestly felt like being back home in Italy. We arrived pretty late, but they still welcomed us so warmly. Staff was super attentive and friendly. Light Italian music, cozy atmosphere, tucked-away vibeโฆ loved it. Food was really good too, and the tartare was super pleasant. Definitely a lovely place!
Continental Deli remains the front runner of the daughters at this stage. We had a late booking on a Sunday for a โlong lunchโ, but high did not end up being very long at all as we were ushered out the door at 5pm. I understand the closure before dinner, but donโt offer the booking as a โlong lunchโ then. The food was a mixed bag. The liver pate and the calamari was very tasty. Zucchini was a great surprise but tiny. The steak was under seasoned. The desserts were pretty, but the tortaโs flavours were too subtle. The pannacotta was delicious. Service was a mixed back of excellent from some staff and others just didnโt want to be there. If you want a special lunchโฆstick to Continental Deli.
Sunday long lunch was perfect! We loved all the dishes and the excellent wine pairing recommendations from Olivia. Highlights were the squid ink spaghetti and the grilled tomahawk lamb. A wonderful spot - fabulous food and staff who a knowledgeable and deliver genuine customer service.
