Came for the $60 banquet & it was delicious, HUGE portions. The only let down was they heated the bread in the microwave, so the minute it cooled it was cardboard. Amenteur move. Aside from that it was all 5 star, great location, friendly staff... Really it's 4.5 star as the cardboard bread isn't worth a whole star.

Spent a long and pleasant afternoon with friends at this lovely restaurant on the north bank of the Brisbane River. It bills itself as a Greek restaurant… maybe. In reality, it’s more of a tourist-style dining experience. The food certainly looks like Greek cuisine, but unfortunately it doesn’t really taste like it. Add to that the contemporary fit-out and background music that isn’t Greek (yes, even modern Greek music would have helped), and the overall atmosphere feels disconnected from what it’s trying to represent. The only genuinely Greek touch was a single fresco on the wall. That said, the wait staff were fabulous and attentive, and the riverside location is undeniably attractive. But “Santorini style”? Not really. There are far better and more authentic Greek dining experiences elsewhere in Brisbane. This venue is more about the location and ambience than the food itself—acceptable, but expensive, and clearly aimed at diners unfamiliar with Greek cuisine. Will we go back? No. With so many other waterfront options nearby, there’s nothing compelling enough to draw us back.

Loved my experience at Opa! The food was delicious and very wellserved, with generous portions and amazing Greek flavours. The location right in front of the river makes the whole atmosphere even better The service was great, and the cocktails were amazing. I have to mention the bartender ,he was Spanish, and as a Spaniard myself, I instantly felt welcomed. He even made me a tinto de verano, which was the perfect touch and made my night. Overall, a wonderful spot with great food, great drinks, and a beautiful riverside location. Highly recommend! 💙

My husband and I were lucky enough to reserve a table for our one year wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The staff went above and beyond to make our afternoon one to remember. My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Opa Bar and Mezze. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, truly capturing the essence of authentic Greek cuisine. What made the evening even more special was the service we received from our waitress, Lola. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel so well taken care of. Her genuine smile and thoughtful recommendations really elevated our dining experience and turned a great meal into a memorable one. We left feeling not only full but also truly appreciated as guests. This restaurant has definitely earned a spot on our list of favorites, and we will be returning soon. Highly recommended!
