Cool spot with a nice community vibe. The friendly staff made it more enjoyable. Definitely recommend. Coffee was really well made and the coconut cold brew was delicious

Dear Readers, My roomie and I were a bit unsure if weโ€™d find any food on Christmas Day since most places were shut. Luckily, this spot was just a 2-minute walk from our hostel and absolutely buzzing. Huge thanks to the entire crew for working through the holidays and feeding us, it really means a lot. We basically survived the first half of our beach day because of you. The food was good. Thanks for that extra hash brown! ๐Ÿ˜„ Attached is a picture of what we ate - Avo toast - Hashbrowns - Orange juice

Moor Newcastle East is one of those spots you stumble into once and immediately add to your weekend rotation. The space has that warm, slightly coastal charm โ€” sunny corners, leafy touches, and just enough buzz to feel alive without shouting over your coffee. The food hits that sweet spot between comforting and a little bit special. The okonomiyaki pancake? Absolutely the standout โ€” savoury, crispy edges with all the good toppings that make you wonder why pancakes were ever considered a strictly sweet thing. The bacon and egg roll comes stacked and actually tastes like someone cared while making it. And the house-made wafflesโ€ฆ dangerously easy to inhale. Coffee is exactly what you want it to be: smooth, consistent, and clearly handled by people who know their beans. Service is friendly in that effortless Newcastle way โ€” no fake smiles, just good vibes and your order arriving faster than expected. Itโ€™s the kind of place you go once and then somehow find yourself back again two days later. If youโ€™re anywhere near Newcastle East, Moor deserves a spot on your list.

Eaten with my eyes before it hit my taste buds. Plenty of seating, nice and breezy. Staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. I had the chili scrambled eggs with chorizo and grilled chickenโ€”fresh, silky eggs, sourdough that hit the spot, and chorizo with just the right spice. Mum had the pulled brisket burger with pickles and cheese, and it was devoured quicklyโ€”delicious! Coffee was a solid 4/5, but the service and food more than made up for it. Hats off to the chef and team.

We had a beautiful lunch. I had a souvlaki without the bread and wifey had the falafel salad. Both dishes were fresh and well put together. Great portion sizes and friendly service.. really enjoyed it
