first time dining at mjølner this evening with my boyfriend for our anniversary and was pleasantly surprised with how welcoming and professional the staff were tonight, especially the blonde lady (forgot her name ): ) wonderful atmosphere and decor, the food was lovely apart from the swede which was a bit too salty for my liking however that could just be because of my own personal taste pallet. we were gifted with our skâl glasses and a signed card upon departure which was a sweet gesture ♥️

Wow! What an amazing experience. My husband and I had dinner at Mjølner for our first wedding anniversary as we wanted something a bit different and new to help us celebrate, and this restaurant absolutely provided! The food was spectacular, some of the best I have ever had honestly and the cocktails and drinks were amazing. The atmosphere is so interesting and fun, you can tell every little detail has been thought of to make the whole experience incredibly immersive, it really felt like have dinner with Vikings. Best of all was the incredible service from every single member of staff we came in contact with, but particularly from Becca. Becca was our server and was so kind and fun and honestly made the night for us. She was so sweet and really went out of her way to make sure we had a great night. We can’t wait to come back again!

This is by far my favourite restaurant, the overall experience is incredible, the atmosphere, the details, the theme, it’s all perfect. We were served by Ross, who was super friendly, funny, and just made the whole experience so enjoyable, we received really really great service from him the entire time we were there. Ross made sure we were enjoying our meal, very helpfully went through the menu items when we asked, and skilfully performed a literal fire show for my final drink, I was very impressed! The food was INCREDIBLE!! We ordered the smoked venison for a starter, and the Beast (pork) with carrots and potatoes on the side for the main, and for drinks we had to go the full experience with our drinks being Odins son and greedy bear mead, which were both served in the carved horns. Everything was delicious, I throughly enjoyed every single bite and sip. We went tonight to celebrate my birthday, I didn’t say anything until we were leaving because I don’t care for those sorts of things, but after I mentioned it the girl who was finalising our bill ducked off and came back with a card and small gift, I didn’t open the card until I was in the car but it made me feel so special seeing all the birthday wishes from the team inside in a mix of what must be the different languages of where each of them are from, including Māori which was an unexpected slice of home for me and made it feel even more special! I didn’t catch her name, but she was also super super lovely. The pricing was really great, they honestly could have hiked the prices for the experience and the novelty and we would’ve happily paid it, but for the portions, the flavours, and the whole experience, it was extremely reasonable. I also ended up buying a meat cleaver as a little gift for myself, and I was fully expecting to pay an absurd amount for it, but it was $199 so I obviously couldn’t say no! Overall, we had an amazing time, the food was delicious, the prices reasonable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend going here at least once for the experience.

Mjølner was a wonderful experience that began right at the front door. A special shout-out to Maria who took care of us from the start, advised us on what to order, and made our experience even more memorable! The interior, atmosphere, and ambience was on-theme without being tacky. Service was relaxed and friendly. You begin with a welcome toast and get to choose your weapon before mains are served. If you’re a fan of norse mythology and anything viking, don’t skip out on this place. Food was underwhelming for the steep price-point. Beast mains weren’t a highlight for us; personally wouldn’t recommend ordering both in one meal. We did enjoy the bone marrow, charred broccoli, and beer horns. You’re definitely paying for the experience, not the food. I’d say it’s worth the buck if you’re after a memorable night!

We had an amazing experience at Mjølner! The environment was incredible with strong Viking vibes, beautiful candlelit ambience, and such unique touches that made the evening feel special. The food was outstanding – the bone marrow was absolutely perfect, and both the rib and chicken were cooked nice. From the very start, we were welcomed with a drink served in a skull, which set the tone for the evening. The team also asked if we were celebrating anything, and since it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a thoughtful gift and a beautifully handwritten card – such a lovely and personal gesture that made the night unforgettable. Overall, Mjølner delivered not only great food and atmosphere but also warm and memorable hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique dining experience!
