Last nightโ€™s dining experience at Marlowe was nothing short of wonderful. The venue itself is stunning! A beautifully converted heritage-listed apartment block that instantly sets the tone for a special evening - I wish the restaurant existed when I lived one block up! My friend and I had the most amazing meal and are still talking about it this morning. We were already saying weโ€™d definitely be back while we were still on the snack course thatโ€™s how good it was! The whole team was incredibly attentive, and a special mention has to go to Kim. She kindly gave us a tour of the patio bar and upstairs seating. I highly recommend checking these spaces out on your next visit. Kim is an absolute treasure, and Iโ€™m already looking forward to seeing her again next time. P.S. Make sure you leave room for dessert cake you wonโ€™t regret it!

Lovely service, food is absolutely perfect! The duck special is to die for, too good to be only special, must try before gone. The skin was so crispy and light, meat was tender and juicy pairing with well made plum sauce that elevate to another level. Coral trout Wellington was well balanced, the fish was really fresh. The dish was so aromatic with herbs and puff pastry was delicious!

Well worth the visit . Came in with my beautiful partner and we left two happy customers . The experience was super lovely. Staff were pleasant and well dressed. As soon as you walk in, itโ€™s quite impressive. The menu is very well presented, the wine list is very diverse. Focus on Australian wines. I found the wine pricing to be very reasonable. The food menu was sensational, of course we started with oysters, then we had a couple of snacks then we had the famous signature duck pie. Well worth it absolutely delicious. Then we shared the Klein steak with the cauliflower and chilli dish. Both main meals were incredible. Oops I forgot we had the loon garlic cheesy bread. That was incredible as well. Then we finish with the trifle desert. Absolutely delicious. Mixed in with a soul growers wine, and a couple of non-alcoholic drinks, we were very pleased. I will be coming back to this restaurant ๐Ÿ˜€

We had dinner at Marlowe in late September not long after they first opened and it was such a lovely night. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful; set inside a restored heritage Art Deco building on Fish Lane, spread over two levels, with a series of intimate rooms and cosy corners that feel warm, elegant and thoughtfully designed rather than flashy. The food at Marlowe focuses on elevated Australian bistro-style cooking using fresh local produce, and you can really taste that care on the plate. From what we could see, the wine list is all Australian, which we loved; it felt curated and thoughtful rather than overwhelming. We visited on a quiet weekday evening and were seated in a cosy nook, which made it perfect for a relaxed date night. Our waitress was fantastic; warm, attentive and genuinely helpful, recommending a few of her favourite dishes. My standouts for the night were the clam and saffron risotto, the coral trout Wellington and the bone marrow mash. Everything was seasoned beautifully and the sauce that came with the coral trout Wellington was honestly to die for. The sticky date pudding was nice but didnโ€™t quite have that soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture I usually look for; we mentioned this to the staff on the night and they were very open to the feedback. If you enjoy red wine, I highly recommend trying the Vinya Vella Old Bush Vine Grenache and the Latta Nebbiolo; both were incredible and paired so well with the food. Overall, Marlowe is a really lovely spot for a date night and weโ€™re very much looking forward to coming back again soon.

honestly one of the best dining experiences i have had this year! i booked marlowe as an early birthday dinner with my partner and we were seated at a gorgeous window table which felt private and intimate, yet spacious. everything down to the cutlery and tableware was stunning and refined and really elevated the atmosphere. the food was genuinely some of the best iโ€™ve had in brisbane and every bite was flawless. the oysters were delicious and fresh and if i could i would drink the bisque that they came with! the crudo was fresh, snacks were delightful and i canโ€™t forget about that duck pie and fish wellington, truly delicious. the sides were good too but the desserts were incredible- that pumpkin pie should be made a permanent feature! my only complaint about the sticky date is that there was not enough ๐Ÿ˜… there were only a few minor things that kept it from being flawless, such as the music sometimes being a bit jarring and loud and not fitting the vibe, and it being quite hot and humid where we were seated however it was storming that night so that might be why. i also did request a candle on my dessert during the booking to make it special, but this did not happen which was no big deal but would have made it extra special. the service was so lovely and friendly and informative and i simply cannot fault that either. overall i will absolutely be returning!
