We recently had a nice experience here. Ambience is cosy, with many fun cheeky posters. We went just after opening in the evening, so all of the items we got were entrees. Their menu is interesting with fusion takes on Indian dishes and also Indian twist to some western dishes, so we were curious to try many and we were not disappointed. Personal favourites were burrata tadka and the ceviche! It's always difficult to find a balance between fusion elements and credit to the team to try to create something different. This was the appeal for us to visit. The staff and owner/ manager were friendly and helpful and also listened to some of our feedback appreciatively. We hope to be back to try the rest of menu.
Madam Ji Indian Restaurant offers a very enjoyable dining experience with well-prepared dishes and quality ingredients. The food is clearly made with care, and the menu has a good range of classic Indian favourites. Everything was nicely presented and satisfying, though a little more depth and boldness in flavour would have taken it to the next level. Still, a great spot for a relaxed meal with good food, and definitely worth a visit.
Take my 💰.....the reviews of this place are spot on. A relatively small menu but every dish is tried is spot on. 🍆 is one vegetable that is nasty when undercooked but they nailed it. The paneer lababdar is so good. The handi subz is wonderfully spiced and seasoned. The kofta are amazing and the naan fluffy and the perfect accompaniment to those curries. My next trip to Sydney will see me back. Probably every 🌙
My partner took us here for our anniversary. The service was amazing, the staff were extremely attentive and the food and drinks were incredible. By far the best Indian food I’ve ever had, accompanied by really good cocktails that complimented the dishes and flavours so well. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an intimate dining experience with a level of luxury and good vibes. Will be making this a regular spot for date nights. 🤩
We visited Madam Ji on 26th October around 9:00 PM. The ambience is really nice loved the seating setup and the vibrant bar section. We tried the Vada Bao Buns, which were quite good, an interesting and tasty fusion take on the classic Vada Pav. However, the main course was a bit disappointing. Having tried places like Maya Da Dhaba and Dosa Hut, the Madam Ji Special Chicken Curry felt more like a sauce-based gravy without the authentic desi flavour or anything particularly special about it. The service could also be a bit warmer as the staff seemed rather reserved, which slightly took away from the overall experience. Overall verdict: Great ambience if you are after a nice dine-out vibe, but if authentic Indian curry taste is what you are craving, this might not be the place.
