A hidden gem inside the eating street of China Town. Good place for take away snacks or a quick dine-in meal with yummy Thai streetfood and a bit of Vietnamese twist. The owner is very hard working and friendly. The service is quick even though there is only the chef/owner working. All dishes are very tasty and at good prices. Good combination of deep fried food with flavourful, tangy seasoning and fresh salad on the side. I'll definitely come back to support this little shop.
A hole in the wall gem. Hard to find if you are using Sussex street. But if you walk from Nixon street which is the Chinatown mall walk, itโs easier to find. The food was piping hot as he cooks and bring out. Very accommodating chap that runs it. You will have to like deep fried food as most of the menu are like chaser for beer or drinks. Still I like it as who doesnโt love deep fried.
The restaurant is supposed to open at 11am on Saturdays, and we booked an EatClub deal for 12-noon. However we arrived on time only to find out the restaurant was still SHUT! We then called the mobile number listed here on Google Maps, and the chef/owner apologetically explained he was running late and would be there in 45 minutes. Totally unacceptable! But we decided to give it a chance and wait... In the meantime, diners from the Malaysian eatery next door had started to use Little Dragon's tables for the lunch-rush! The chef/owner finally arrived at 12:50pm and provided no apology for their delay, nor compensation for our 1 hour wait. Very disappointing guest service! We then asked what items on the menu were GLUTEN FREE, as one of us has Celiac Disease. The chef/owner explained that all meats and seafood were coated in tempura mix before getting fried. We asked if the tempura mix was Gluten Free and he said it had wheat flour in the list of ingredients. It was frankly horrifying that I'm 2025 there's any establishment which isn't correctly versed on dietary intolerances! So AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you're Gluten Intolerant, as this restaurant doesn't cater at all to GF diners. NB: I granted 3 stars to the Food as per other customers' reviews, however we did NOT eat here - we went elsewhere!
So good and worth it for the price point. Portion size is amazing and food is fresh and hot, seasoning is on point. My new go to spot
Absolutely loved this place! The food was incredibly fresh, and the rice was so perfectly fluffy, itโs amazing how something so simple is often done wrong, but they nailed it. The staff were super sweet and had my order ready in no time. 10/10 for affordability, hard to find anybody in Sydney selling affordable eats ! Recommend especially to any other uni students in the area worth to check out.
