The BEST dessert shop ever!!! So aesthetically pleasing ~ I’d go back every single day if I could. 100% worth a try 💯💯

I first tried LeTAO as a souvenir from a friend back in Japan, and it was so good that I kept thinking, “I really want to have this again someday.” Years went by, and one day—almost by chance—I googled it and discovered that there’s a LeTAO in Melbourne. I went the very next day, and it felt like an emotional reunion. It’s a bit pricey, but honestly, it’s worth it. From now on, this is definitely my go-to gift whenever I visit someone.

I opted for a dessert consisting of a chosen ice cream and a slice of cake. For $15, I found the experience underwhelming. I tried the ice cream, which was only a single flavour of milk, and the slice of teramasu. The taste was not exceptional for the price and portion size. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

This soft serve sundae was pure comfort in a cup and the sweetness was perfectly balanced. Paired with the cheesecake toppings, every bite was indulgent without being overwhelming. Simple, well-made, and absolutely satisfying. I’d happily come back for this again.

Brought this cake home today! Big appreciation to the Indonesian lady working today (Sunday) around 2pm — I forgot to get her name. She was super friendly, welcoming, and helped us choose our cakes. Great customer service!
