I have never seen a caesar salad presented as beautiful as this. The scallops entre was plentiful, fresh and also beautifully presented. The eye fillet steak was so tender and cooked perfectly. Barramundi was juicy and drlucioys on a bed of spinach. The whole meal was very very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining there again.
An excellent restuarant as part of the Hilton. Food was all delicious and the rib eye steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Service was friendly and efficient. Standard hotel prices but great value if you can make use of Hilton honours discount or first table.
Thee place is lovely! The kitchen staff are really well-organised, and the front-of-house team were friendly and gave great recommendations. It’s wonderful to see everyone doing such a great job — from the kitchen hand to the chef, they all seem to genuinely enjoy their work.
Coming to this restaurant was an amazing Tasmanian experience. The food is so fresh, we ordered pork chop and seafood linguine, both being sourced in Tasmania. Delicious 😋... We had to ask the chef name, Mr. Rashik you did a great job. Well done.
Context: Two diners, 5pm dinner seating. Please note — entrance is via the hotel. Most patrons (myself included) initially attempted to enter through the glass doors at the front of the restaurant. I enjoyed a serene and comfortable meal here, with supportive seating. Notably, the ceiling soundproofing made for easy conversation even as the restaurant became busier. I often find dining out straining due to noise pollution from chatter, but dining here felt calm and allowed genuine connection at a comfortable volume. I ordered the Cape Grim Eye Fillet, cooked beautifully to a perfect medium rare. This was paired with crispy potatoes and honey-coated Brussels sprouts that complemented the dish nicely. For dessert, I had an apple pie featuring Tasmanian apples in a rich caramel sauce. The staff thoughtfully catered to my lactose intolerance by removing the cream from the dessert. The service was warm and proactive — staff were attentive throughout, even offering a completely new glass of wine when my companion noticed hers wasn’t clean. I would highly recommend Leatherwood Bar & Grill for a relaxed, well-presented, and satisfying dining experience.
