We came in a big group for the raclette, and Rudy and the team made everything perfect for us! We had an amazing night โ the food, the wine, and the staff were all fantastic, and the whole vibe truly felt like home. Thank you again for such a dreamy dinner! Weโll definitely be back soon :)
We absolutely loved our experience! The raclette was excellent โ truly authentic and delicious, made with high-quality ingredients. On the day of our first booking, the restaurant had to close unexpectedly due to a plumbing issue, but the owner kindly offered to reschedule us without any trouble and even surprised us with a lovely gesture at the end of our meal. The service is genuinely French, the atmosphere cozy and welcoming, and the food simply perfect. Highly recommended โ everything we love in a great dining experience!
My partner and I came here for dinner again and just realized we forgot to leave a review last time, so here it is. The owner is as friendly and warm as always, and the service is still very professional. The food was just as delicious as we remembered, especially the snails. Itโs really hard to find places in Sydney that use fresh snails. The desserts were also amazing. The Raclette we had this time was so fragrant and tasty. Everything we tried was delicious, and we really enjoyed the meal. What surprised us the most was that the owner still remembered us. We really love the cozy and welcoming vibe of this little restaurant.
The welcome feels warm from the first moment. The family-run vibe shows. Mum cooks in the kitchen, the husband-and-wife team greets you front of house. The Macarons Chรจvre & Foie Gras strike a perfect balance of sweet and savoury. The soup of the day arrives with a baguette made for dipping, served alongside a seasonal tarte. The raclette impresses. Then comes Boeuf Bourguignon, steak and fries, the snails were fantastic and pan-fried duck with a hint of orange in generous portions that leave you satisfied before dessert. The profiteroles arrive in a set of three perfect to share. The finale tastes like a mouthful of festive joy. The place hums with French diners. You feel the authenticity. You will go back.
Tried this place based on the high star reviews but I'm not even sure how this place is a 4.9. The owner is very friendly, cheerful and helpful. We were originally seated on this tiny table but asked to move to a bigger one. Atmosphere is nice, but it does get pretty loud, the patrons that night was extremely rowdy and its kind of weird for a french restaurant setting. Now the food.... I've eaten and many french restaurants and this one has been the most disappointing. The escargots were served on plates in its shell which was rather odd and never seen in served in this way. It also means you get very little of that buttery sauce that you usually dip the bread into. Duck leg looked depressing and some sort of weird Cajun favour added to the vegetables. Steak was average, you get better steaks in a pub. Cocktails weren't any better. Overall it was a big let down.
