Jiraiya BK was really good Cold udon texture is perfect Only drawback is maybe the broth is a couple touches too salty so needed to drink a lot of water, but otherwise perfect
For around $20 you get a massive bowl of fresh, hand-made noodles that taste like a five-star secret locals donโt want to share. Absolutely incredible. Highly, highly recommend.
First time coming to lunch in jiraiya just near entry of Scarborough St Australia fair. I ordered the lunch special which is the menu No.1 with 2 free tempura, I choose 2pieces of pumpkin tempura, they made their signature broth and homemade upon. The signature broth tastes good, services and atmosphere also nice and polite, they do have vegan menu too highly recommend this place newly opened not long ago.
I tried the Beef BK and Jiraiyaโs BK Udon, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were smooth and chewy, the broth was refreshing with a nice balance of soy and dashi flavour and the beef was tender and flavorful. Service was friendly and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.
Absolutely thrilled that Jiraiya Udon has opened on the Gold Coast! Itโs rare to find handmade udon this goodโperfectly chewy, fresh, and full of authentic flavour. I had the Bukakke udon, and it instantly became my favouriteโrefreshing and so satisfying. There are four options to choose from for Kake, Bukakke, and rice dishes, which makes it easy to come back and try something new each time. The tempura was another highlightโlight, crispy, and not oily at all. The prawn and enoki mushroom tempura are must-tries! They also serve rice balls for just $3, which is such great value and reminds me of how things are priced in Japan. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the whole dining experience made me feel like I was back in Japan. Canโt wait to go back again!
