Love the vibe of this place, so glad it opens late on a Saturday night. The staff are friendly and happy so service was great. They serve tapas style dishes. Yam chips were nicely done, but as I'm not a fan of wasabi I was hoping they would offer an alternative dipping option (I didn't ask but I will next time, its just not on the menu). Garlic butter mushrooms were nice. My favourite dish was the venegar sauce drumsticks. Will be back to try the other dishes.
We got very lucky walking in as a bigger group was leaving, so didnt need to wait, otherwise I would recommend making a booking even for 2 people (around 9pm). We got the karage chicken, grilled mackarel, omelet roll and the chef starter between 3 people. They were all very tasty but maybe considered a little on the smaller side portion wise. The staff were very attentive to the guests and also each other, the environment was very loud with everyone laughing and yelling to each other.
A great place for authentic izakaya experience in Perth. Many selections of food and drink on menu. Food was delicious, pricing to portions was a bit steep. Total spend for 5 food items plus one drink was around $90 (for 2). Service was always friendly and very efficient.
Part of the Ginza Alley smack bang in the middle of Perth CBD lies this awesome izakaya. So reminds me of Japan and the vibes is amazing. The sake tastings just for our group and the drinks with the stingray was such an experience. If you want one of the most authentic Japan street food experiences or izakayas in Perth this place has to be on top of your list.
My friend and I had a great time there. The service was efficient, and the staff were lovely and friendly. We really liked their warm smiles. We ordered the omelette, which was tasty, soft, and not dry at all. The braised pork belly was deliciousโit nearly melted in my mouth. All of us enjoyed the vinegar wings; the flavor was well-balanced with sour, salty, and sweet notes. Very impressive! I also liked the midnight-style beerโit had a rich malty flavor and tasted fresh. Weโll definitely come back again.
