We were supposed to try another Korean restaurant in the area, but after seeing a long queue outside Itaewon Korean Restaurant in Southport, curiosity won โ and weโre so glad it did! The food was really, really good. The kimchi is easily one of the best weโve tried on the Gold Coast โ fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of flavour. Servings are very generous, great for sharing, and everything came out hot and well-seasoned. The staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming, even during a busy service. Bonus: thereโs a 5% discount if you pay cash, which is always a nice touch. What really says it all? So many Koreans dining there โ and you know thatโs always a good sign ๐ If the locals approve, you know itโs legit. Definitely a place weโd come back to when craving authentic Korean food. Worth the wait, worth the hype!
Spicy pork bone soup is a must try! The soup is awesome and I canโt describe the freshness in words. I wish we have this in Sydney. Soy garlic chicken they nailed it so perfectly. We polished everything. Will be back definitely.
OH MY GOSH!!! This place is awesome! We recently visited on holidays and came back a second time. It will definately be on our go to list when we are ever on the Gold Coast - but what were we thinking??? We ordered way too much food - but we ate most of it, becasue it was SO GOOD!! Ok so we thought it was a must to have the Signature Spicy Pork Bone Soup -so we got a large one of those. When it came out, the couple at the table beside us were laughing because it was so big - but the joke was on them, they ordered the smaller serving and it seemed almost as big. But this dish was to die for. I really can't describe it, but this meat combined with the dipping sauce was a true taste sensation. We also had the sweet chilli chicken, topokki and a number of side dishes. Seriously we can't commend this place enough. If there is a down side it is that they don't take bookings and it is popular. I would suggest getting there as soon as possible. We had to line up for a little while - but it was so worth it.
This was a great Korean spot.... The wait is worth it... Great taste, service, and flavours. I was impressed with the black rice... Never knew it could taste that good. The kimchi pork stew was yummy. The portions matched the price.... And the price matched the taste ๐๐. I will have to go back and try other items on the menu
Yummy korean restaurant in this area๐๐ โThe kimchi pork rib noodles were absolutely delicious โ the ribs were big and flavorful, and the soup was aromatic with a mild spicy kick. โThe beef bibimbap really surprised me; the beef was rich and well-seasoned, and the hot sticky rice made it so tasty โ probably the best bibimbap Iโve ever had! โThe fried chicken was juicy inside and perfectly crispy outside I love it๐
