Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, which makes the high ratings hard to understand. The naans were pre-made and reheated on site rather than freshly cooked in a tandoor. The curries used chicken breast, which may be leaner, but resulted in a chewy, dry texture that does not suit Indian curries. Even the chicken tikka masala, traditionally made with thigh fillets and cooked in a tandoor, was prepared with chicken breast and did not appear to be tandoor-cooked. One of the dishes had a bitter taste that we could not identify, so we returned it. To their credit, it was replaced promptly. The staff member serving us, a young girl, seemed overwhelmed by the workload, which impacted the service. The only real positive was the ambience. The floor seating gives the place an authentic Indian feel and creates a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food itself did not live up to the setting, and we would not return based on the meal alone

Party of six adults and two kids. Chose โ€œroyal indian - sit on the pillowsโ€. Great fun, perfect atmosphere. Also, Not noisy - easy to talk. Waitress looked after us so well. Very clear and accurate on the order. Probably best value for money weโ€™ve had in years!!! Mains typically $24!! Averaged $40/adult including drinks and deserts. Food tasty and not over salted. (I loathe salty food) (Also, Contrary to a previous reviewer the chicken dishes - both mango and butter chicken were soft succulent and tender. Couldnโ€™t have been cooked better.) Would recommend and weโ€™ll go again.

If you have dietary restrictions, I can understand why this place would appeal โ€” they clearly cater well to gluten-free and low-sugar needs. However, for us, the overall experience felt quite average, and we likely wonโ€™t return. Although I made a booking, when we arrived the restaurant was empty and we were simply told we could sit anywhere. I had specifically selected the โ€œIndian Royal Tableโ€ in my booking, but it seemed no effort was made to acknowledge that or create any sense of welcome. The atmosphere felt more like a casual takeaway spot than a dine-in restaurant. The drinks were inconsistent โ€” mine was fine, but my friendโ€™s tasted flat despite being the same drink, which suggests little care in preparation or stock control. We ordered the tikka masala and butter chicken, but both tasted very similar, and like store-bought curry from a supermarket. The chicken was dry (because they use chicken breast), which didnโ€™t help. The cheese and garlic naan had barely any cheese or garlic flavour. The texture and thickness was more like a roti than a naan On a positive note, the fried spinach and onion entree and the mango chutney were enjoyable. But with underwhelming curries, flat/ unsweetened drinks, and a flatter atmosphere, there wasnโ€™t much that made us want to return. That said, for those with specific dietary needs, this might still be a good fit

Disappointing Experience The onion salad was just onions, and all dishes were excessively oily. The naan was not from a tandoor. I later noticed most reviews seemed to be from outside the area, with few authentic customer photos. Disappointing, especially given the chefโ€™s name associated with the restaurant. The single server was kind but clearly overwhelmed, managing about seven tables aloneโ€”it felt like only one cook was in the kitchen. I even switched from lemon-lime butter to Diet Coke to make things easier for her. Overall, an unacceptable experience for the price pointโ€”possibly a weekday or staffing issue, but still a major letdown.

Quick service, absolutely delicious food, amazing ambiance! Have no words on the dinner experience we had, memorable birthday celebration of my dad. Arya from their staff members was very cooperative and super quick with handling all Front of house duties!
