Despite the air conditioning breaking down on a scorching 36-degree day, this small Thai restaurant absolutely won us over. With fans running throughout the space, it was definitely warm—especially for us visiting on vacation from Yorkshire in the UK—but the experience was more than worth it. The food was sensational, bursting with flavor and incredibly authentic, clearly made with care and tradition. Every dish impressed. The service was equally great: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming despite the challenging conditions. Even with the heat, this place delivered on what truly matters. We can’t wait to return (hopefully with the A/C back on!).

Had the best experience tonight for dinner. It was packed when we arrived so had to wait 15 mins for a table but came back in 10 to find a table waiting for us. The service was friendly, polite and informative. The food came out super quickly and was absolutely delicious, authentic flavours, the best Thai food I’ve had since being in Thailand 2 years ago!! The portions were a generous size and the prices were excellent. This will be my first stop for dinner next time I’m in Cairns.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ IMM Thai Cafe – Cairns Genuine, authentic Thai cuisine that never disappoints. The dishes are generous serves, full of flavour and beautifully presented, with fast and friendly service every time. It can get quite busy during peak times, so get in early as seating is limited. If you can’t get a table, order takeaway and enjoy your meal with a short stroll down to the Esplanade, the perfect spot to take in the spectacular Cairns views. If you’re dining with a group, I highly recommend sharing plates so you can experience the wide range of delicious dishes IMM Thai Cafe has to offer.

If you crave authentic thai food this is definitely the place. Everything I've tried here has been amazing but my go-to is the pad kra pow with crispy pork. Food always comes out fast and in such a huge portion. Super nice and helpful staff too :)

So glad we came across this restaurant! Went for Dinner and was surprisingly good so we came for lunch again the next day! Food was great, reasonable price and big portions. It came out super quick (busy or not), piping hot. Highly recommend!
