Wow! Discovered Grainery Lane and their G&Tea by mistake. Best mistake I've ever made. Chef quality fresh food, divine gin cocktails served in tea pots, and staff who are attentive, polite, friendly and knowledgable. Word of advice, don't make any dinner plans for afterwards. You'll want to chill in the atmosphere, and will be too full to eat anyway. A perfect afternoon.
This is a must place to visit in Ballarat. Showcasing their signature gin vodka and rum through a great cocktail menu to whet your appetite. The menu is Asian based and you can pop in for a snack for a banquet if you wish. The gin is also available to buy by the bottle or smaller samples. You can do gin courses and experience a gin high tea. There is a separate room Upstairs for private functions but what makes this place special is the atmosphere and the furnishings. It was total eye candy for me and I could have stayed for hours whiling away on several French 75's thinking about how to save the world. See you again very soon
Ammaaziinngg ( shouting from the top of of my lungs) We came here for a family recoup on Saturday 29th nov and I forgot the waiters name ( he had some sort of either Mexican/indian decent to him I believe ) great service attentive food was great, the only thing Iād fault was the steak was cold now I know steak has to rest but we have had steak before that rested and was still hot. The oysters were amazing , pork belly and chicken we also ended up buying in house gin as well which was absolutely delicious will definitely be back. Forgot the bartenders name but where were 2 Africans I believe one from zimbabwe they did a fantastic and amazing job with the drinks and the service. Keep up the amazing work guys. I forgot to take the drinks photos but the drinks were amazing.
Beautiful venue with elegant old style decor and chandeliers. Food was great. The steak and pork belly was outstanding Cocktail was amazing - I had the Man in love which was delicious. Definitely coming back
We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and loved the cozy elegant decor and the staff that welcomed us. upon seeing some other customers having the high tea set, we asked if it was possible to order this without a booking and they accommodated us which was really kind. We were not disappointed: food was really tasty and had some really inventive flavors and the matching cocktail tea pots were amazing. The first one was especially easy to drink and kept you wanting more. Which is not a problem because we were told the pots are free flowing! Unfortunately we were too stuffed to take advantage, but I would say that is a good thing. Overall, I would recommend for food and drinks alike, great decor and staff that care about you. Deserves 5 stars!
