Absolutely delicious authentic Indian cuisine! The spread here is fantastic. The Dal Makhani is rich and creamy, and the Mutton curry is incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The yellow rice is perfectly cooked and aromatic. If you are looking for genuine taste and great portions, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Gourmet Curry Hut truly went above and beyond for us. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional and the team made our entire family feel so welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and consistently high quality across the whole event. A special shoutout to Paul and Luvjit, absolute legends. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, were incredibly accommodating, and genuinely cared about making our celebration memorable. Their effort and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Highly recommend Gourmet Curry Hut for both family celebrations and dining. Weโ€™re very grateful for the experience and will definitely be back.

This is a restaurant I used to visit often even before it relocated, and it is without a doubt the best Indian curry restaurant in Melbourne. The food has always been excellent, but what truly made our evening special this time was the service from the staff member Meet. Her service was absolutely outstanding โ€” she was kind, warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive. It was already a great place, but thanks to Meet, we had an even more enjoyable and memorable dinner. Highly recommended!

I recently ate at The Gourmet Curry Hut and had a great experience. I ordered the butter chicken, lamb korma, lamb chops, and spinach pakoras, and everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. The sauces were rich without being too heavy, and the meat in all the dishes was really tender. The spinach pakoras were crispy and a perfect starter. Everything was cooked well and served nicely. I really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be coming back multiple times. Itโ€™s been over 10 years since my last visit and it did not disappoint! The staff were warm, welcoming, and very attentive, which made the whole experience even better.

Having visited gourmet curry hut at its previous location a few times years ago, I was excited to see it open its door at a new modern location. But the excitement was short lived and probably I was remembering things differently because of the nostalgia factor. The food was good, but not great. The rice was nice and fluffy and the goat curry was hitting the right spots. The goat biriyani was also good. But the rest was mediocre at best. The dhal was bland (wonder how it happened as this is a very simple dish) and the butter chicken was burned, not smokey flavour, burnt! The audacity of the chef (and the establishment) to serve something burned instead of remaking the dish is beyond me. Could this be a sign of cost cutting and minimising waste at the expense of paying customers? The same question haunted me about the staffing as well. There were no staff working on the floor (just the owner/manager standing behind the counter) and the people who came to take the order came from inside the kitchen. Clearly the kitchen staff tried their best, but lack waiting skills which is fair because their expertise is in running a busy kitchen. But this means we were grabbing water ourselves. Also with three of us having rice, we were given 2 spoons (Iโ€™m Indian, I donโ€™t mind eating with hand but yโ€™all have no restrooms on site for me to wash my hands) so ya I was happy to get the spoon myself too. Iโ€™m still keeping the review 4 star because I have good memories of the old shop and this could be a one off experience. Hope to get better food and service on my next visit so I can amend this review.
