During our trip to Cairns, we ate at Dundee’s twice (lunch & dinner on separate days) because it was that good. It’s one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Australia. The food was delicious especially the seafood. Service was excellent. Our servers were Kevin and Andrea. They were nice, friendly, efficient, and very accommodating to our requests. Restaurant is very spacious and clean. Would highly recommend :)

I visited Dundees on the Waterfront for dinner in Cairns to try Australian cuisine and was honestly blown away by the atmosphere, the service, and the especially the food quality. The moment you arrive, you get that relaxed, coastal vibe that Cairns is famous for. The restaurant sits right next to the ocean, so you can enjoy the sea breeze, and sunset views. It’s the perfect place for couples, families, travellers, backpackers wanting a treat, or anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Cairns. If you’re visiting Cairns and want to try real Aussie seafood in one of the best locations in the city, Dundees is a must. For starters I got the soft shell crab and it was so incredibly tasty. For the mains, I struggled to pick as the menu is quite extensive and I wanted everything. In the end, I went with the Australian Sampler plate, which included Crocodile, Kangaroo, steak, barramundi, yabby, lamb and prawns. When I say, no word of a lie, probably the best meal I have ever had. There was so much flavour on one plate. I cannot recommend it enough and to finish I got sticky toffee pudding and just like everything else it was amazing!! If you’re planning a trip to Cairns, saving the best restaurant spots, or searching TikTok for where to eat in Cairns, make sure Dundees is at the top of your list! ❤️

Booked here for dinner after an unexpected overnight stop on a cruise. Absolutely amazing place. Loved the food, being from the UK I had the Hop Rock Kangaroo. It was really good and my husband had the pork ribs. Was too full for desert. The garlic bread with cheese was also really nice. Other people on our ship said they really enjoyed the seafood tower, it looked amazing so also included a photo of this. Great waterfront views, shame it was a bit wet on our visit.

We stopped at Dundees on iur first night at Cairns. We were in fact 45 min early to our reservation but the hostess accommodated us with just a 10 min wait. The device was great and so was the food. We had a wide selection between 4 of us. They even celebrated us for our anniversary. We would love to come dine here again. Portions are a little smaller for the price but the food is delicious

This restaurant is quite good. Personally, I think the ribeye steak and the seafood tower are the must-order highlights. Unfortunately, due to limited time and having ordered too many dishes, I didn’t get the chance to try all of the restaurant’s signature items, which was a bit of a pity. That said, the stunning ocean view really makes a huge difference. Sitting by the window truly elevates the entire dining experience. Overall, the food is reliable and the environment is outstanding. It’s a restaurant that’s worth visiting for the scenery and atmosphere alone, and I would definitely come back next time specifically to try the signature dishes.
