Double Zero Robina has been our go-to place for years, ever since they opened in the town centre, and weโve never had an issue before โ which is why todayโs experience was so disappointing. We placed a fairly large takeaway order, over $200, including 2 pizzas, 2 pastas, 2 salads, dessert, and more. When we asked for an additional tiny chilli sauce and one cheese powder (after already being given one chilli), the lady serving us was extremely hesitant and visibly reluctant. If there was an extra cost, we were more than happy to pay โ it was never about getting something for free. It was the attitude and hesitation that felt unnecessary, especially given the size of the order. Also the restaurant was not busy at all. After the food was ready, we asked if everything was included, knowing that large takeaway orders can sometimes miss items. No one wants to come back in such heatwave. She confidently said yes without checking. Unfortunately and fortunately, when we got to carpark, we found the dessert was missing and had to go back to collect it. Thankfully, it was eventually given to us, but it shouldnโt have happened in the first place. I understand everyone can have an off day, and weโve always had good experiences here in the past. However, todayโs service felt careless and unwelcoming, which was quite disappointing from a place weโve supported for years. I really hope this was just a one-off, as weโve always enjoyed Double Zero and would like to continue coming back โ but service like this does leave a sour taste.
Potato chips were delicious and also the cocktails. The food looks good but lacks flavour. Pasta with mussels is very plain in flavour but beautiful presentation. The pizza was very soggy at the bottom, but it looked nice. Polenta chips were a mixture of sponge cake and dry corn not tasty at all .
Salami Pizza ($28): The pieces have thin and soft texture but the best part is that crusty edges really hit different and the drops of pesto make the pizza taste a lot better. The olives and the salamis also create an extra juicy texture. In addition, they also provide chili sauce if you want to try. It becomes quite spicy and but more delicious for me. The soft drinks including Coke, Lemonade (sparkling), Apple Juices etc cost $4.5 for each. The restaurant is next to Grillโd and TGI Fridays, which are all located on The Promenade. The escalators downwards to The Promenade are to the north of the Food Court. In conclusion, moderate prices, decent service attitude, authentic and outstanding food. Overall, itโs a 10 out of 10!
We only stopped to look at the menu as a diner was sitting eating mussels, my husbands favourite ๐ She told us it was 1/2 a kilo & it was a HUGE serving. So we decided to try it, my hubby went for the full kilo of mussels and said they were possibly the best he has had ๐ I had pasta with King Prawns, which was also delicious ๐ The staff were all so lovely, efficient & the chefs the real deal! The seating was super comfortable & it is located in a quiet yet convenient spot. Next time we will try the pizzas as well 10/10
A lovely restaurant on the promenade with indoor and covered outdoor seating. The Iโm pizza was fresh out of the fired oven and it was cheesy and delicious. I had a gnocchi as it was a Tuesday night, it was flavoursome and the gnocchi was tender. Overall it was a great place for a nice casual dinner!
