Attended Crispy Italian Bar for some authentic Italian style wood oven pizza before heading back to Melbourne. Service was great and food came out very fast! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pizza was also probably the best pizza we've had outside of Napoli in Italy. The kids are still talking about how good it was!
My 2 teen daughters and I came here at my oldest suggestion. As its hidden off the highway, I didn't even know it was here with all the roadworks. This place is know for its pizza, so what do we do, all order pasta with a puff bread. The puff bread was ordered with a pesto stracchiatella cheese. It was awesome breaking down the puffed crispy pizza bread and scooping up the goopy cheese and pesto mix. Delicious. The fresh pasta was beautiful in texture, I had the Fettucine Amalfi with a creamy lemon sauce, & prawns. The girls had a cool cocktail, and I went for a negroni. Another good thing is all menu items have a GF option, for those with sensitive tummies. It wasn't a cheap night out for three of us, the bill coming to just over $200 #chompchompchomp8
Crispyโs seriously impressed us and might just be the best Italian weโve had on the Gold Coast. Everything felt well-executed, full of flavour, and made with care. The Diavola pizza ($26) had the perfect spicy kick, while the carbonara pizza ($28) was rich, creamy, and indulgent. The fettuccine funghi ($35) was packed with deep mushroom flavour and beautifully cooked pasta. Even the parmesan salad ($17) was a standout โ fresh, balanced, and the perfect side. Drinks were just as good. The amaretto sour ($24) was smooth and well-balanced, the strawbasil ($22) was refreshing and fun, and the goldy ($12) was an easy, crisp sip to round it all out. If youโre after top-tier Italian with great food and drinks, Crispyโs is an absolute must when youโre on the Gold Coast.
We have been here probably ten times in the last year and have seen it grow from just a few tables indoors to its current set-up of an additional indoor area and multiple tables along the front of the restaurant outside. This is a testament to how good the food is. Our favourites are the puffed bread with pesto burrata and the fettuccine amalfi, and of course, a tiramisu to finish. Weโve tried multiple Italian restaurants on the GC, but this is the one we always end up back at.
Fantastic spot! Delicious pizza and cocktails. Happy hour was only $14 cocktails and $5 beers! Reasonable price, beautiful pizza.
