Eko and the team at coffee man were really friendly. As someone who grew up in Darwin and coming back to visit decades later I didn’t expect to find particularly good coffee. This place exceeded my expectations and the batch brew was perfectly dialled in. Dean from Five Senses would be happy to know that these guys are representing their beans really well and I would find it difficult to differentiate the beans brewed here at coffee man to that of the newly opened five senses in Sydney. I would assume based on the cup’s juiciness, sweetness and clarity of tasting notes that grind, and brew ratios were on point. Had an espresso as well but this one was not quite as tasty, I’m not sure if it was a blend or single origin but it just didn’t have the same standard I was expecting after the batch. Perhaps I needed to ask for the single origin. Either way, easily one of my top two favourite coffee shops in Darwin for sure. ** Update: went back again for another tasty batch brew. This time with Colombia on and can confirm that Eko and the team are very consistent. Just a really delightful filter coffee. Eko also offered to change my mind on his espresso and it’s clear he is a perfectionist when it comes to his craft. Body, sweetness and acidity all came together beautifully in a single shot of espresso. Will return each time we’re back in Darwin.

We just had coffee here, which was great, beautiful flavours & perfect coffee art. Would be a 5 score, but they mixed up our order & so we were kept waiting for quite some time. The staff are very polite & the cafe bar is very clean. Good selection of pre made sandwiches available along with sweets etc
