We visited this local Thai spot during our trip to Sydney a month back now. They were open late which was appreciated and had plenty of tables. I loved the indoor decor and their menu was expansive. With only a few staff to manage multiple tables I think they did well on this night. The food was of a good quality and hit the spot.
If you love Thai street food, you should go visit Charmhor. We ordered the boat noodles, pad thai, deep fried pork belly, fried pork wonton, mango ice cream all under $80 (less than $20 per dish). Everything was packed with flavor but didnโt break our wallets. The vibes are also akin to the street food stalls and places in Bangkok.
Charmhor delivers some of the most authentic Thai food Iโve ever had. Every dish is packed with flavour, fresh ingredients, and that perfect balance of heat and aroma. The staff are super friendly and the service is quick. If you love true Thai cuisine, this place is a must-try.
itโs hard to find cheap restaurants that maintain a high quality for their food these days (inflation..) ๐ฟ but at charmhor, almost everything is under $20, and their food is so good ๐ the tom yum fried rice was so fragrant, genuinely i might prefer it to an actual bowl of tom yum soup.. and their green curry was so creamy and just the right amount of spicy. it builds up gradually but in a good way ๐ the pad seew was so good ! the serving size was so generous, and the flavour was perfect. some days i just prefer pad seew over pad thai, and this restaurant was a good reason why ๐ finally, their salted egg yolk corn salad was so good? everyone talks about thai papaya salads but no one gives corn salads enough recognition honestly bc it was good ๐ and ofc we had to try their drinks ! thai pink tea is so pretty HAHAH but i have yet to figure out what it is go check out charmhor! your wallet and your stomach will thank you :)
$10 for a bowl of noodles or Thai salad is such a steal! Itโs right next to UTS, itโs the perfect spot for a quick after-uni bite, with larger portions available. The boat noodle was rich and full of flavour, and the mini squid salad was incredibly refreshing with the perfect crunch. We also tried the smoky pad see ew with pork belly, the juicy grilled pork neck, and the creamy chicken tom yum on fluffy rice - all absolutely delicious!
