This place has incredibly high ratings for a reason โ truly authentic Thai flavours, super delicious, and very generous portions. Everything we ordered was amazing. It was a bit spicy for me (my problem, not theirs!), but the seasoning was absolutely perfect. Pad Kra Pao with Minced Pork was outstanding. The pork was fragrant and full of flavour, and the fried egg on top was perfectly runny. The mixture of the soft egg yolk, rice, and the aromatic minced pork was pure happiness in one bite. For AUD 18, the portion was huge โ it honestly felt like there was more meat than rice. Highly recommended! Chilli Oil Fried Rice Noodles with Prawns was my favourite. The wok-hei was incredible โ not too dry, not oily, just perfectly balanced. I asked for less spicy, but it was still quite hotโฆ yet SO delicious! The prawns were fresh, springy, and generously portioned. The veggie version is AUD 17.5, and with prawns it was around AUD 22.5 โ totally worth it. Compared to pad Thai or fried ho fun, this one wasnโt sticky or overly sweet, just full of flavour and extremely satisfying. Iโm planning to come back here again when I return to Hobart after my road trip around Tasmania. I bet their fried rice would be amazing too!
My husband and I visited Bangkok City recently on a Wednesday evening after work. We were seated promptly and the service was friendly throughout. Both our dishes - the chicken cashew and the beef massaman - were tender and full of flavour. The portions were also generous and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quick and tasty local Thai food in a Hobart City.
Great tasting food at reasonable prices for Hobart, especially if youโre not looking for a โwine and dineโ experience. We ordered a chicken pad Thai, chicken satay, and seafood red curry. I was really happy with the portion of fresh seafood in the curry. The chicken satay was also delicious - the satay sauce is very indulgent. Itโs a smaller space but love the casual vibes. Great service too, food came out fast. Weโve now saved it as a go-to dinner option every time weโre in Hobart.
Nothing beats getting an authentic Thai food in Hobart city center with reasonable pricing! The flavors are consistently vibrant and the lunch deal is a steal for the quality. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating a cozy vibe in the spacious setting. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious, reasonably priced meal.
