About
๐ฅ Youโll leave full, happy โ and probably needing to loosen the belt ๐ Letโs begin, We went to Alexandria Seafood and Iโve got to say, everything was next-level delicious. I went with the grilled/baked dory after the staff recommended it โ and Iโm so glad I listened. Perfectly cooked, super tasty, really filling, and that Greek salad with a twist (potato!) just took it to another level. The boys loved their meals too โ crispy chips, juicy prawn cutlets, tender calamari, and the marinated BB

Old school style fish and chips. Super fresh and flaky fish, not too oily or over seasoned. Consistently good and reasonable prices. A rare gem!
I ordered 2 peices of Orange Ruffie. It was another fish which was a little dry , had been frozen and different texture than the fish we ordered. Orange Ruffie is a very tender fish and very moist and natural flakes. I noticed in the window that they had deep sea flathead. It was 100% not flathead. Different shape and different texture pattern in the flesh.

Perfectly cooked, super tasty, really filling, and that Greek salad with a twist (potato!) just took it to another level. The boys loved their meals too โ crispy chips, juicy prawn cutlets, tender calamari, and the marinated BBQ octopus was a standout: full of flavour, soft not chewy, and cooked perfectly. And the portions? Insane value for money. The boys couldnโt even finish and had to take some home. The service was outstanding โ friendly, chilled, and we were laughing like weโd known them for years. The place is clean, tidy, and has that cool 80s/90s vibe. We ate in, but thereโs plenty of seating outside too. Hands down, one of the top fish & chips spots around. Whether youโre solo, with your partner, mates or the whole family โ just go, you wonโt regret it. Funny warning: if you wear skinny jeans here, you better Uber home โ because youโre not bending again today. ๐๐
Solid food and great service! Should have asked for a bit of extra chicken salt on the chips but that's just a personal preference. Will come again
I had heard many good-to-great things about this place. The seafood shop is reliably, one of old. A telephone line to take preorders directly and a small tuckshop storefront to sling fried and grilled seafood, thick cut chips radioactively coloured from OTT chicken salt (the best kind) and Greek salad. In Sydney, the fish and chip shop is historically run by Greek families, an old Chinese couple or beach living Aussies. Alexandria Seafood however owes its delicious array of open water proteins to its Kiwi (NZ) inheritance and Pacific Islander leanings. Even with a 25 min added travel time, the batter was fluffy and crispy while not losing its shape and falling off the fish/calamari. The grilled selection was extremely well seasoned and marinated. A bit of acidity, not just from the lemon wedges but also from the use of fresh herbs and aromatics. Nothing is too overpowering either, redacting from the smokiness from the char on the grilled octopus, the sweetness of the prawn flesh or the buttery bite of the ling fillets. Itโs priced insanely democratically. But thatโs often a privilege that is earned and not given within Sydneyโs dining out diaspora. Simple food done well, representing some of the best produce thatโs abundant enough to feed many. Atmosphere: N/A as itโs mainly takeaway but the team were great !
